In Romania, there are 3 ways to recover your debt from a person and the lawyer could direct you to the best solution for you and these are:

1. Summons of payment;
2. The common procedure;
3. The insolvency procedure.

The procedure could last between 3 months (a fast procedure when there are written binding documents between parties) to 3 years – the insolvency procedure.

All the expenses can be recovered from the debtor.

If the lawyer advise you to recover your debt by common procedure, then the court taxes for the common procedure are approximately 2% of the sum.

If the lawyer advise you to go into insolvency procedure then the court taxes are 50 Euro.

The court taxes for recovering the debt in Romania can be also recovered from the debtor after the end of the trial.
